Program Goals Experiment with chemical reactions Learn how to measure and estimate Learn how to follow a recipe Attendance: 35 Experiment: Baking soda mini-volcanoes Recipe: (dough) 6 cups flour, 2 cups salt, 4 tblsp oil, 2 cups water fill bottle with warm water and food coloring, add a few drops of soap add 2 tblsp baking soda pour in vinegar Supplies flour, salt, oil baking soda, vinegar measuring cups and spoons plastic container (large water bottles) plastic tablecloths, swimming pools Experiment: Blobs in a Bottle Recipe from Science Bob oil, water, food coloring, alka-seltzer water bottles Experiment: Bubbles Supplies Different kinds of dish soap glycerine hose bubble wands bowls, eye droppers, spoons big flat tupperwares bubble solution Experiment: Candy Science I had one person handing out pre-measured amounts of candy and the kids could take it to different stations.
